The Peninsula Skydivers Skydiving Club was started in July, 1962 by Hugh Bergeron, who is pictured above in the white collared shirt. Hugh made a parachute jump from a Piper airplane that was so small he had to fly to 2,000 feet with the door open and his legs hanging outside the airplane. The above photo is from 1975 and it is the 1000th jump of Rick Odum who is kneeling in the front row in the center.
